Halloween 2010

This year I let the big boys decide what they wanted to be for Halloween and this is what they ended up with, Spiderman with muscles. Jack was a football player thanks to a shirt Peyton had from when he was a baby. :)

Thursday night we went to their school carnival and on Halloween we did lots of trick or treating.

Before we went trick or treating, Peyton and Parker carved a pumpkin with the help of Daddy.

Then we sat Jack inside it for a quick picture. He was the cutest little Jack-o-lantern!

After trick or treating the kids ended up with way to much candy for two little boys to eat. So I might have helped them eat a little, especially the little butterfingers. Those are always my favorite.

Parker story: (for me to remember for later on)
Wednesday morning, I was hurrying around our house trying to get the boys ready for their day. Peyton had school and I was about to leave to take Parker and Jack to 'Fit for Christ' childcare at our church. Well Parker kept asking me for his Halloween candy and I kept saying, "No candy till we get back home." It was about 7:30 in the morning at the time. A few minutes later, he comes to me with a mouth full of chocolate with some dripping down his chin about to drip on his clean shirt and says, "I ate a Reese's, do I get a spanking now?" Oh my word, I was mad. He will do anything for his all time favorite candy, Reese's Cups! Yes, he did get a spanking and a good talking too! Good thing I was able to go work out right after that and get all my frustration out and not let it ruin the rest of our day. Plus he is impossible to stay mad at for very long. His big smile and deep dimples get me every time. Gotta love my Reese's loving boy!

Lately...

Here is just a little bit of what the Floyd crew has been up to...

Lots of Shiloh games to cheer on our Daddy and the Saints. Parker with his buddy Jackson.

We've been to the last two Hog home games. The boys LOVE going!

Jack stayed home with Nana. Thanks Nana! And thank you Poppy and Gigi for our tickets.

Peyton enjoying the doughnut shop.

Jack has started enjoying his this. (He was giggling so hard his paci fell out. I love his baby giggle!)

The boys went to pick put pumkins with Nana for her house.
Boys dancing to All I do Is Win at the last Hog game.

Boss Hog doing a headstand!

Us with our good friends Jimmy and Laci.

Josh's Dad has been the pastor of CrossChurch for 24 years! Here are the boys and cousin Reese before they presented flowers to Gigi and Poppy on stage during the church service.

Jack staying warm at the Junior High Shiloh game.

Peyton & Parker decorating cupcakes or "pupcakes" as Parker calls them.

They turned out pretty good.

One more picture...my sunglass lovin' boy Parkerman.

The boys are excited about their Halloween costumes this year. They both want to be Spiderman. Parker has been wearing his costume almost everyday for the past three of weeks at home (and one night at Mellow Mushroom because I was too tired to put up a fight about it at the time). And Peyton has had his hanging up in the laundry room since the day we bought it because he doesn't want his to get dirty. Ha. They are such opposites in personalities!

Fall Fun and New Apple Recipe

Last week Gigi and Nana took the boys and I along with my sis in law Meredith and her kids Reese and Beck to the corn maze in Cave Springs. The kids wanted to go through the Razorback shaped corn maze first.
Peyton leading us through the kid's maze with the map.
Next we went to the petting zoo.

Then we loaded up on the cow train.

I rode too. ;) They said they needed some adults to ride in the back so Mom, Jeana, Meredith and all hopped on. It was SO bumpy but the kids loved it.

And we are off....

Parkerman practicing his driving skills after the ride was over.

Thank you Nana and Gigi for such a fun time! Let's make this a new tradition. Jack stayed home with Josh because he wasn't feeling well that day.

Last Sunday I made a new recipe and brought it for our small group at church. It was so good that I just had to share. It's perfect to make during fall.

Apple Crack Cobbler:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Spray 9x13 dish with pam.
Spread two cans of apple pie filling on the bottom of your pan.
Mix together: one box of yellow cake mix (don't follow directions on the box), two sticks of butter that is softened, one cup of dark brown sugar and one teaspoon of cinnamon.
Spread the mixture evenly over the pie filling and top with 1 or 2 cups of chopped pecans (I leftsome of ours without pecans because Josh doesn't like them.)
Bake for 45 minutes or until brown on top.

Typing that out just maked me want to make it again! It'll definitely be a keeper in my recipe book. Yummy!

Our sweet Jack

Happy 4 Months sweet Jack!

You are learning all kinds of new tricks and changing daily!!
You love to spit bubbles with your mouth. You think it is very funny.
You found your feet this week and enjoy attempting to take your socks off.
You love to watch your brothers play.
They are normally right in your face and you don't mind one bit. You love the attention.
You can sleep through anything and can sleep anywhere. I hope you keep that up.
You can roll over but have trouble getting your arm out from under you which makes you upset.
You have loved your swing since you were born but lately you haven't enjoyed it as much. You would rather be in your bouncey seat or on your play mat.
This week you have started taking naps in your crib instead of the swing. You normally take 3 good naps during the day but sometimes cat nap in between.
You sleep all night in your bed and normally sleep 10-12 hours.
You are a laid back happy baby and we love you SO much!

Did I mention your brothers are CRAZY about you? They call you "little buddy" which makes me laugh every time I hear that name.

Happy 5th Birthday!

Happy Birthday to our Peyton man! (I know, a couple weeks late. The blog has been on the back burner for a while, but I will get with it some day.) This year we celebrated big by going to Jump Zone the Saturday before his actual birthday! He'd been asking for a Jump Zone party for while and he finally got it.

I love this picture with all my sweet crazy boys.

On the morning of his birthday I made him his all time favorite thing for breakfast with a candle.

That afternoon we joined his class at school and celebrated his birthday again. Parker was happy to be "big" enough to go.

For dinner we let him choose where to eat. He chose, "that chocolate place" aka Market Place. After our meal they brought out this to him. Nothing like a load full of chocolate right before bedtime.

The week of Peyton's birthday his teacher asked him to bring pictures of his favorite things. She chooses a different child each week and they take turns being the "Star of the week." These are the pictures he chose to bring.

Peyton,
We are so proud of you. You are a HUGE blessing to our family. We pray for you every day and can't wait to see how the Lord will use you. We know He has big plans for you!
I love you more than you'll ever know!!

First Soccer Game

This is Peyton's first year to play soccer and he has loved it. A few days ago they had there first game and he scored five goals. He was excited. After the game he told me that he heard me cheering for him and it made him run faster. Ha!

Peyton was happy to have a uniform and be on a real team. Go Dynamo's!

Parker was not happy when he couldn't be on the field with Bubba. Luckily, Uncle Nick showed up with doughnuts which made him happy. Thanks Uncle Nick!

Goal! I love his face in this picture that my Dad took with his iphone.

Peyton had quite the crew cheering him and his team on to a victory!

Last night, Shiloh beat the #1 team in 5A, Watson Chapel! I had to miss the game so I could take care of this sweet baby who has been sick with his first fever.

He's feeling much better now. This coming Monday is Shiloh's big football game that we play in Dallas Cowboy Stadium. We play Euless Trinity, the #1 team in the country. It will be a big game!

It's That Time Again

Football season has begun at the Floyd house. The boys love every minute of it which keeps it fun for all of us. Even though the real games haven't started yet our schedules have stayed busy with football activities. We are so proud of our Daddy and love going to everything to support him.

Last night we had pictures for the football program. It was so hot and luckily they didn't take long at all. After the pictures the team had practice so the other coaches wives and I took our kids, all 12 of them, ages 7 and below, to Chick-fil-a for dinner. It was pretty exciting to say the least.

Here's our picture for the year. I'm okay with it. We were all dripping with sweat and ready to leave.

Last Friday was the Blue Gold game. Josh got the boys jersey's this year to match our quarterback, Kiehl. The kids love him and he's so good to them. We really couldn't ask for better players who don't mind my kids hanging all over them.

A couple of weeks ago my parents had the football team over to their house for a pizza party. (Thanks Mom and Dad for letting the entire team and coaching families come over! You're the best!) Everyone had fun swimming, playing foosball and pool in the game room. I think we had a total of 80 people there.

How many guys can you fit in a hot tub?

Back in July we had our annual coaches retreat. This year we went to Tulsa. It was so much fun. The guys did lots of working and the girls had fun hanging out and shopping. We couldn't ask for a better coaching staff. These girls are some of my best friends and I couldn't make it through each season with out them! I'm so blessed to have them while our husbands are all working very late hours this time of year. This year the Gilder's joined the staff. They are such a great family and lots of fun.

Shiloh's first game is on August 30 in the Hooten's Classic against Watson Chapel. Our first three games are going be on TV, two of which will be on national television. It should be an exciting year!

Well, this is our last weekend to be football free for awhile so Josh and I are going on a date tonight with some of our best friends and I can't wait! Hope everyone has a good weekend.
