Sprinkler Fun

One of the Peyton and Parker's favorite things to do in the summer is to play in the sprinkler. We normally turn them on after dinner so we can wear them out close to bedtime. :) Plus, it's way too hot to go outside very much during the day unless we are in a pool.

Jack doesn't care much for the sprinklers. For the most part he just walks around on the sidewalk and watches his brothers play or put his hands over the sprayers. Sometimes he'll walk in the grass for a second and that's plenty for him.

Whatever my boys do, somehow a football is normally involved before it's all over.

I can't believe July is already half way over! It's going by way too fast.

Peyton's Tball

Peyton played tball for the first time this summer. He loved it!

His team name was the Bulls.

Batting and running the bases was his favorite part of the game.

Sweet brothers.

Jack loved exploring the ballpark.

Peyton and his buddy Chi.

Our friends the Harris' came to watch a game and Parker had so much fun with Jackson and Cooper.

Peyton got the "game ball" one night for playing well. He batted a double and played second base that night.

Poppy (Josh's Dad), Grandaddy (my Dad), and Josh with our little all-star.

I'm so proud of this guy! (Can you tell he loves that Frogg Togg around his neck? Ha. He thought it was a must for each game to keep him cool.)

Peyton and Coach Moe.

Thanks to all our family and friends that came and cheered Peyton on this summer!

Road Trip Part 4- SEBRING & DISNEY WORLD

After the beach we headed to Sebring, FL. Our sister-in-law Meredith's, parents live there. Nick, Meredith and their kids were visiting at the time. So we decided to drive and see them while we were in the area. It was so much fun and great to see her parents. We had a blast swimming, playing in the creek and exploring their farm on the their big gator.

Peyton and cousin Reese.

Parker and Reese.

Peyton flying high.

Jack loved splashing around.

Early the next morning we surprised Peyton, Parker and Reese and took them to Disney World for the day! Peyton and Parker were shocked because they didn't even know they were so close to Disney World at the time. It was so much fun surprising them. Meredith's sweet parents volunteered to keep Jack and Beckham at their house for the day while we were gone.

Fun day with the big boys.

Josh and Peyton on the Toy Story ride. This was their favorite ride when we went in January.

Josh and his brother, Nick, watching a show on the castle with the kids.

It was a great day and a perfect way to end our long road trip. The next day we made it back to Arkansas after surviving the long trip home. We had a wonderful time away but it was nice to be back in our own beds.

Road Trip Part 3- PAULA DEEN'S

While we were in Florida, we decided to take a break from the beach for a day. We were just two and half hours away from Paula Deen's Lady and Son's Restaurant and felt we must go. So we headed to Savannah, Georgia for the day. I think we chose the hottest day ever to go. Of course, the one day that week we weren't by water.

We shopped down town some but the kids were getting tired and hot so we asked a local for the closest ice-cream shop. It was just a few blocks from us so we headed that way. It was called Leopold's Ice Cream. We learned later it was a Savannah tradition for nearly the past one-hundred years. The kids and I loved it but Josh got a piece of pie and wasn't too impressed. He should have ordered the ice-cream if you ask me. :)

Later that day, we finally got to eat at Lady and Son's restaurant for dinner. We had reservations and were so happy we were not one of the MANY people (no lie, fifty plus people) that waited outside in the heat to eat at this restaurant.

Paula wasn't there so this was as close to her that we got to her.

Josh ordered this AMAZING chicken pot pie. I normally don't like chicken pot pie but this, I loved! Luckily for me, it was huge. I had ordered the shrimp and grits but did not care to much for them. So I helped Josh eat his. :)

For dessert I ate the best key lime pie I had ever eaten in my life. It had a almond pie crust that was out of this world.

Here's Angela and I outside Paula's store and the restaurant.

It was a fun day but we were really ready to hit the beach again the next day and cool off.

Road Trip, Part 2-BEACH

After many hours in the car, we had finally made it to Ponte Vedra, FL with our friends. We were so excited when we saw how private the beach was. It was awesome.

We made some very fun memories on the beach. I took a million pictures and tried to do my best to narrow it down. Trust me, these are just a few.

Our view from the back porch of the house we stayed in.

Peyton LOVES to be in water and would stay at the beach 24-7 if we let him.

Josh and Parker doing some bike surfing.

Parker loved it as well as the rest of the kids.

Jack also loved the beach. Peyton and Parker at this age always had just enough fear too keep them from trying to get in the water without me. But this little guy has NO fear of anything, including the water.

Jack's favorite beach activity, crawling in water. Luckily, the water was really shallow till you got really far out.

Little stinker.

Love these four boys!

Peyton and the baby shark that Angela caught.

Angela and I.
Two different days, Angela and I were able to kayak with dolphins. It was so much fun! On the second day a baby dolphin and it's Momma were just a few feet from us swimming around. It was the neatest thing, I had done in a long time!

Parker and Jack sharing a snack in the wagon.

These five kids played their little hearts out on the beach! They all had so much fun together.

At night we went to eat and enjoy some great seafood. This was taken one night at dinner. We all decided Capps on the Water was our favorite place of the week.

One night we also took some beach pictures.

These three little boys melt my heart.
