That time of year

School has begun which also means football season is in full swing! We are excited because this is our favorite time of year. Yes, being married to a football coach means he is very busy right now and the kids and I don't get to see him much. But each year gets easier and seems to get more fun. Peyton is so into football and loves to go to practice to watch "Daddy's guys." He's already talking about the day he will play for Shiloh. The other night when I was putting him to bed he said, "Momma, one day I will play at Shiloh, Daddy will be my coach, and you and Carker (yes, he still calls him Carker) will be in the seats yelling Go Peyton and Shiloh!" Isn't that pretty amazing that a two year old can think like that? As you can tell he's been to every Shiloh game since he was 2 weeks old and most of the Razorback home games starting before he was a year old. In case you were wondering, that is the life of a coaches' kid. At the bottom of this post I am attaching some pictures from this week. The first one was taken while I was dropping Parker off for his first day of Kid's Day Out. Peyton was sick that day and didn't get to go to his class. Peyton will be going on Mondays and Thursdays and Parker will be going on Thursdays. I'm so glad that this has started back. The rest of the pictures are from last night at the game. GiGi, Poppy, Rod, Dawayne and Courtney were there with us. Nana (my Mom) watched Parker for us. Thanks Mom! We had fun but just wished the Hogs would have played better. Hope everyone has a good labor day tomorrow. Guess where I will be...football practice watching the Saints preparing to play Evangel on Friday. :)

Terrible Two's

Every year, for the Shiloh Athletic's media guide, we have a family picture taken on the football field. This is what Peyton looks like in our's this year. We even had about ten people behind the camera trying to make him laugh or atleast get this awful look off his face but nothing worked tonight. I even offered him a trip to Shake's. Can you tell he didn't want to take break from running wild on the field with the other coaches' kids for a quick picture? Ahhh...I'm ready for the terrible two's to be over!

Parker's Party

Here are some pictures from Parker's birthday party this past weekend. We had our family over Friday night for pizza and cake. Before we started eating, Parker took his first steps. I think he knew that night was all about him.

Lots and lots of presents for such a little guy...
The cake was done by Rick's bakery which is our favorite.
Making a mess with his own smash cake. It even got messier after this picture. After a bath, the green icing still stained his hands and mouth.
Big brother even got a special present from Mommy and Daddy...

My family...
Josh's family...we were happy Grandma Thomas and cousin Reese could join us all the way from Texas.

Parker Thomas turns ONE tomorrow

I can't believe it but tomorrow my baby will be a one year old. Where has the last year gone? It seems like just yesterday I was in the car on my way to the hospital having contractions 3 1/2 weeks early of my due date. I thought my doctor would send me home with it being a false alarm. But no, we had a surprise that day and Parker Thomas Floyd was ready to be born, August 8, 2007 at 3:48pm! I remember it all so well.

Tomorrow night we are having our family over to celebrate. So that's why I am posting this a day early. I'll be busy getting our house and food ready (while watching my two entergetic boys) for the P-A-R-T-Y. I'll post pictures soon.

Parker, Happy Birthday! I can not imagine my life without you in it. Thanks for always being the happiest, laid back, easy going, most sweet spirited baby ever. You can always light up a room with your huge smile, deep dimples and big blue eyes. We thank God for you everyday. It is a true joy to be called your Momma. Your Daddy and I love you sooo much!

Here are just a few of my favorite pictures of Parker Thomas from the last year.

Our vacation pictures...

Little Rock, Hoover & Rosemary Beach

Last week Josh had a 7 on 7 football tournament in Hoover, AL. My mom and I took the boys down to watch. Last year I wasn't able to go because Parker was almost ready to come into the world so it wasn't a good idea for me to be nine hours away from home. The boys did very well in the long car ride, thanks for the many movies they watched on the way down. We also stopped by my Grandparents house for a nice visit in Little Rock.

After the tournament we drove four hours to the beach. We stayed at Rosemary Beach which is near the Seaside/Water color area. It's so beautiful there! Mom came with us to help with the boys which was a huge blessing. They love their Nana so much. We missed my Dad because he had to stay behind and work.

Anyway, we are back home now and Josh is gearing up for football practice to start early Monday morning. I can't believe that our summer is slowly coming to an end. I'm sad about it but at the same time ready to be back on a more nornal schedule. Above are a few of the pictures we took while we were away. I finally figured out how to make a slideshow however, I posted it in the wrong order.
