Well, I decided to sign Peyton up for gymnastics to give him something fun to do and hopefully run off some of his energy. So he started gymnastics last week and loves it, (minus the melt down in the middle of class today.) It kinda was my fault though. We talked the whole way there about going to gymnastics and how much fun he was going to have with his friend, Easton. Needless to say he was so excited. Well we got there late and they had already split up groups and he wasn't able to be in his friend's group. So next week I will for sure get him there on time so he can be in Easton's group. When we got in the car I still had a big talk with him how he can not act like that at gymnastics or we won't be going back. Hopefully he will do better. Here are some picture from last week. It's so fun to watch him out there. He's taking at the same place I took when I was younger. It brings back so many memories.
Notice he's not very flexible-ha.
Last week we flew to small town Yoakum, TX to visit Josh's grandma for her 80th birthday. Both boys did great on the plane. It was so much fun to see everyone. I really wish they lived closer. I love his family. It's always a blast when we get together. Below are a couple of pictures of the boys from Grandma Floyd's birthday party. Notice Peyton breaking it down. He loves to dance all the time especially when there is a crowd around.

Question for you... is Parker sleeping through the night? Caden goes to bed around 7:30 and still gets up around 4am to eat, then sleeps until 7:30 or 8. Just wondered if you had any suggestions. :-)
He normally goes to bed at 8pm then wakes up between 5-7:00am for a bottle then goes back to sleep till about 8:00-8:30am. With Peyton he woke up at 4am every night till he was about 10 months old. I finally started cutting out 1 oz. of formula during his 4am bottle every few days until we got down to 2 oz. and then he finally quit the night time feeding. You might try that. Every baby is different. Peyton and Parker are totally different sleepers. Peyton has to be in his bed and wakes up immediately with any noise and Parker falls asleep anywhere and noise never bothers him. Hope it gets better.
Potty training sounds fun...I can't wait. One of my brothers would do the same thing Peyton is doing. Mom had to let him run around without underwear on to get him to do #1 in the potty. For some reason as long as he was wearing underwear, he didn't care, but without it I guess he felt like he couldn't just let it go. Worked like a charm.
And as for sleeping at night...Caedmon goes to bed around 7:30, I feed him again around 11, and he sleeps until morning. I say "morning" because his wakeup time is pretty erratic. Some days he wakes up at 6:00 and never goes back to sleep (but I leave him in his crib), and other days I have to wake him up at 7:30. Maybe if I switched him around and fed him at 4am or so like you guys are doing, he would sleep later.
Thanks for the info. That's a good idea... it's a little different though since I'm still nursing. I'm working on weaning him then I'll start cutting out the nighttime feeding. Can't change too much at one time. :-)
I've also heard when you are nursing you can stop 2 minutes earlier during the night time feeding each few days. I've never tried it but I've heard it works the same way as the bottle idea.
Maybe I'll try no underwear tomorrow. I'm always up for any new ideas. Thanks.
Okay, I totally meant no underwear for PEYTON, not me. HA.
Suuure you did. Ha!
We had our 6 month check-up today, and our doc told me that the little booger still needs to eat overnight - that 12 hours is too long for him to go without eating. He did say we could cut the overnight feeding out by about 8 months, though.
And Gretchen, when I weaned a feeding (the second overnight feeding), I cut him back by 2 minutes at a time each night. Worked like a charm.
