Happy Birthday Josh, GiGi and Reese

(Third blog post this week, I'm on a roll.)

This year we celebrated Josh and Jeana's birthdays at our house with a family. Their birthdays are one day a part in May. We had Mellow Mushroom pizza, a Shake's cake (Josh's favorite) and Rick's Bakery cookies (Jeana's favorite). It was fun to get everyone together to celebrate.

My niece, Reese (center-pink bow), celebrated her 4th birthday this month too. Her party was at Fun City with friends and cousins.

Hope you all three both have another wonderful year! The boys and I love you guys SO much!!!

A couple of weeks ago we took Peyton and Parker to a Razorback baseball game. We had a lot of fun and it was the perfect night to sit outside.

P & P ate their all time favorite treat, cotton candy while we were there. I think it was gone within 5 minutes. :)

Mother's Day 2011

(I'm going to be catching up on my blog this week. First up, Mother's Day.)

My four sweet boys started the day off by making me breakfast. Well, actually I think Jack slept through this part. ;) They surprised me and made a new (to us) recipe from Paula Deen. It was Strawberry Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast. It was so good! I was impressed. Parker just ate the strawberries and Peyton doesn't like strawberries but Josh and I sure did. I think it was too fancy for them. They also gave me a new camera that I had been wanting for awhile. I was so excited!

Before church I took pictures with the three boys that made me a Momma. I am blessed.

For lunch we met my family at the Country Club in Fayetteville for lunch. It was good and they even had a cookie table set up for the kids to decorate sugar cookies . My Dad also took the boys on a golf cart ride around the course.

This is my sister-in-law and I with my Mom. I'm not sure what I'd do without her. She means the world to me!

The day before we had celebrated Mother's Day with Josh's family but I failed to take one single picture. :( I will do better next time especially now that I have a new camera.

Rainy Easter

We had a very wet Easter. It stormed most of the day but that didn't stop us from celebrating. This is always one of my favorite holidays! The kids had such a fun weekend. Friday night we made our third annual Easter bunny cake. And Saturday afternoon we dyed Easter eggs. I really enjoyed this special time with them this year. We talked a lot about the real reason we celebrate Easter. I love to hear them tell the story of Jesus dying on the cross for our sins.

The boys were so excited the night before Easter. They went right to sleep so the bunny wouldn't miss stopping at our house. I think the bunny may have out done himself this year.

The next morning we hunted eggs inside our house because of the rain. Before we went to church we attempted a few pictures. Jack just wanted to crawl off. :)

He's always on the move! Friday night he had come down with another double ear infection. It's the fifth one since February. I feel so bad for him. But by Sunday he seemed fine and he had been fever-free for twenty-four hours so he still was able to go to church on Sunday.

After church we went to my parents house for lunch. My Dad smoked a brisket and my Mom, Grandmother and I cooked the sides and desserts. It was so good!

For dinner we went over to Josh's parent's house and there was another Easter egg hunt with their cousins Reese and Beckham. GiGi had also made sugar cookies for the kids to decorate with icing. Jack was napping while this picture was taken. He had started feeling sick again that evening.

I'm hoping it's nice and sunny again here soon. We had another day with lots of rain today and many roads are beginning to flood. The U of A even closed early. I am ready for the rain to start moving out of our area and the sun to start shinning again.

Spring Soccer

Peyton has literally been counting down the days till soccer started again. He had so much fun playing in the fall. This past Saturday was his first game of the spring.

Peyton scored three goals and they won. He can't wait till their next game on Saturday.

Lately...

A few days ago Jack turned 10 months. I can't believe he's going to have a birthday so soon.

He has started puckering up his lips and making this silly face a lot. It makes us laugh.

Josh was out of town the past few days for work and we missed him lots. I'm so thankful that he doesn't have to travel for work very often. While he was gone the weather was beautiful and we spent a lot of time outside!

Mr. Parker is always on the go and up to something. I told Josh the next time he goes out of town, I'm sending Parkerman with him. ;)

Jack continues to love wagon rides by Peyton.

We are all happy to have Daddy back home but I think I may be the happiest of all.

Spring Break Skiing

Last week my parents took our family to Park City, Utah. This was Peyton and Parker's first year to ski. I think my Dad had been dreaming of this day since Peyton and Parker were born. My brother and I started skiing when we were the boys ages and he couldn't wait to get his grandsons on the slopes too.

While Peyton and Parker were in ski school, Josh and I were were able to ski with my Dad, Rick and Jessica. My Mom volunteered to stay with Jack at the house. We had a lot of fun together!

Peyton had no fear at all. (I was very thankful for helmets this trip!) He would laugh all the way down and if he fell he would just laugh even harder. He had a blast.

I think this may have been Parker's favorite part of the day...the hot chocolate breaks on the mountain. He liked skiing but after his second run down the slopes he would start asking for hot chocolate.

I was so thankful for all of Nana's help this week with Jack! She's such a great Nana to the boys.

Parker was not in the mood for pictures or snow ball fights at this moment, he just wanted to get on the lift. :)

We had a lot of fun but it was also a lot of work, traveling with three kids and skiing with two small kids. The boys loved spending extra time with their grandparents, Uncle Rick and Aunt Jessica. We can't wait to do it again! But now I am really ready for spring and warmer weather!
