Road Trip, Part 2-BEACH

After many hours in the car, we had finally made it to Ponte Vedra, FL with our friends. We were so excited when we saw how private the beach was. It was awesome.

We made some very fun memories on the beach. I took a million pictures and tried to do my best to narrow it down. Trust me, these are just a few.

Peyton LOVES to be in water and would stay at the beach 24-7 if we let him.

Jack also loved the beach. Peyton and Parker at this age always had just enough fear too keep them from trying to get in the water without me. But this little guy has NO fear of anything, including the water.

Two different days, Angela and I were able to kayak with dolphins. It was so much fun! On the second day a baby dolphin and it's Momma were just a few feet from us swimming around. It was the neatest thing, I had done in a long time!

These five kids played their little hearts out on the beach! They all had so much fun together.

At night we went to eat and enjoy some great seafood. This was taken one night at dinner. We all decided Capps on the Water was our favorite place of the week.

Road Trip, Part 1-AUBURN

We are finally back from our Florida vacation. It was so much fun and none of us were ready to come home. This year we drove with our dear friends the Slaughters to Ponte Vedra Beach, near St. Augustine, to spend a week at the beach.

On our way down we stopped in Auburn to see Kiehl, Josh's former quarterback from last year. He will play football in the fall. While we were there we were able to get a tour of the football facilities. Peyton and Parker were loving it.

After that picture was taken we went onto the field. It was already pretty dark and I didn't get any good pictures. However, the funny part is as soon as they opened the gates that lead from the locker room onto the field, Peyton immediately ran onto the field singing the Razorback fight song. We busted out laughing. Sorry buddy, wrong school. He didn't care though, he was just happy to be on the field.

Next, we went to dinner with Kiehl at a local deli call Momma Goldburgs. It was really good.

After dinner we headed back to the hotel to get some sleep before we finished our way to Florida. Tomorrow I'll post part two of our trip.

Swim Ranch 2011

This summer the boys had their swimming lessons again at Swim Ranch. It was extra fun this year because the boys were able to be with cousin Reese.


Peyton has turned into a fish. Last year he was still a little hesitant but this year he has no fear. He's swimming everywhere and is more comfortable swimming under water.

This was Parker's first year in Lane 1. He did great and improved everyday. His favorite thing was the back float. He likes to chill. ;)

Last year Peyton was scared to jump off this diving board but this year he had no fear and it is now his favorite thing about swimming lessons.

Time for Tubes

The week before our baby turned one, Jack got tubes. He has had a very rough spring with ear infections. He had six within three and half months. It was pretty much miserable for us all. It's been almost a month since he has had them and he is a total different baby, so much happier.

Here he is right before the doctors took him back. Poor thing, didn't know what was coming.

He did so well and he was literally only gone from us for ten minutes at the most. It was quick and simple which made me a happy Momma. They were able to drain some fluid that was still on one of his ears which gave him instant relief. Here he is when they brought him back to me. He had just woken up from the anesthesia.

I'm so thankful he has been feeling well again. I hope we don't have another ear infection for a long time.

Two Sweet Grandmas

Over Memorial Day weekend, Josh and I loaded up the boys and headed to see his Grandmothers. It was a long trip but we made lots of sweet memories with two very special ladies. The first stop was in Yoakum, Texas (between Austin and Houston). It's about ten hours from our house. Josh's Grandmother, on his Dad's side, lives there along with his Aunt and a few cousins. We had lots of fun visiting with them.

Here's a picture I snapped of Josh, the boys and Grandma Floyd. She has leukemia and has been sick for awhile. We were very grateful we got to spend time with her. Please keep her in your prayers.

This was Grandma Floyd's first time to meet Jack. He loved playing with toys and getting lots of attention but I think most of all he enjoyed his first ever donut the most.

Next, we loaded the car again and headed to Bridgeport, Texas which is close to Dallas. Josh's Grandmother, his mom's mother, lives there. We were able to take her out to dinner and let her see the boys. I have a sweet video of Jack walking into the arms of Grandma Thomas but I can't get it to upload.


It was a quick trip but we were so glad the boys were able to spend time with their Great Grandmothers. We hope to see them again soon!

Football Camp

Over the next week, I'm going to try and get caught up on blogging. We will start with football camp that was back in May. The Shiloh coaches do a youth football camp every spring. Peyton was excited to go again and Parker was excited attend for the first time.

Being a coaches kid sometimes has it's advantages. Parker and Jackson were able to attend a year early since their Dad's were on the field.

Jack and his buddy Kane were there watching all the big boys. It won't be long till they are out there too!

It was a fun week and the boys were glad it never rained. They are already counting down the days till next year's camp!

Jack's 1st Birthday!

This week we celebrated our baby Jack's first birthday! I can't believe he is no longer a little baby. It seems just like yesterday I was holding him for the first time. He has changed so much in a year and it has been so much fun to watch.

We had family party at my parent's pool. It was lots of fun.

Jack was blessed with many presents. Thanks to all our family for coming.

Here is what Jack is doing these days:

-He is now taking steps! I've counted up to nine steps in a row.

-Still prefers crawling most of the time. Everyone comments how fast he crawls. He's quick!

-Taking 2 bottles a day, one in the morning and one at bedtime. However, he doesn't seem too interested in them anymore and we are dropping bottles very soon.

-Finally mastered the sippy cup.

-Eats whatever we eat during meal times.

-Doesn't seem like a picky eater so far.

-Now has tubes in his ears and is feeling much better.

-Some days he takes two naps and some days he take one long nap.

-Most nights he sleeps 7:30pm-7:00am.

-LOVES his brothers and thinks he is as big as they are.

-Weight: 20 pounds even (12%)

-Height: 28 inches long (5%)

We still have a little guy and couldn't be more proud of him. What a blessing he is to our family!
