Merry Christmas (blog style!)

Glory to God in the highest and on earth, peace to men. Luke 2:14
Merry Christmas from our house to your's.

The picture above was on our Christmas card we sent out.

An eventful week!

It all started on Sunday morning when both of the kids and I woke up sick coughing and throats that were sore. Then by Tuesday all three of us were feeling much better. On Wednesday Parker began running a fever again and Josh came home sick from work. By Thursday both Josh and Parker we think had the stomach bug plus Josh's throat was hurting. Friday we all were feeling back to our normal non-sick selves and we were ready to get out of the house . So Gigi an Poppy came by and picked up Peyton to take him to the new Chuck E Cheese in Rogers. Josh and I hopped in the car and were on our way to drop Parker off at my parents so we could go to dinner and do some last minute Christmas shopping without the kiddos. But before we could get even a mile from our house we ended up being in a car wreck. Not fun! Two cars collided and then rolled into us. Yes, everyone was okay. My neck and back hurt but everything checked out fine. Praise God it wasn't any worse than it was and that we were in my Yukon and not Josh's car because it probably would have totally trashed his car. Needless the say, we got no Christmas shopping done that night and didn't have dinner until 10:00pm and it was fast food. Now we are stuck with just one car until we get mine fixed or we get a rental car after Christmas since everything is shut down for now because of the weekend and the holidays. Yes, it was an eventful week but definitely not a fun one.

Catching Up

We have been supper busy the last couple of weeks as I'm sure most of you are this time of year. Out of the last 13 days we've been out of town 8 of those days, with 2 trips to Little Rock and one to Dallas. We are finally back in town.

Parker is still trying to roll over by himself. However, when Peyton sees him trying to roll over, he runs over and tries to give "buba" a push and says, "Yea, baby did it!" Maybe he'll learn soon without help. Parker has mastered taking his passy in and out of his mouth by himself within the last few days. He's also beginning to reach out for his toys and play.

Peyton did something really exciting 2 nights ago....drumroll please....he went #2 in the potty-two different times in one night! He came and got me and said he needed to go pee but he surprised us and did the other. We had a big celebration in the bathroom. Peyton kept jumping up and down saying, "Horay, I did it." It was pretty funny.

Peyton, Parker, and I have all been sick since Sunday. We all had upper respitory and ear infections. Peyton's fever got up to 104.8 degrees last night which was pretty scary for us all. I've never seen him so sick before. But this afternoon we all three took a turn for the better. Everyone's fever seemed to be gone and acting somewhat back to normal. Thank you Mom and Jeana for helping me with the kids and here at the house with laundry and grocery shopping. I really apprecitate it and I am so blessed to have you both in town. Also, thank you Josh, he has been such a wonderful husband and Daddy while we have all been sick. You're the best, thanks for all your patience!

Before I forget, congrats Nick! We are so proud of you for graduating from seminary last week! We know God will use you and Meredith in a mighty way. We love you both and Reese so much. We had a blast in the "big D" with you guys.

I La You!

This morning Peyton started saying "I la you!" (I love you) It is the sweetest sound. Of course we had to call Daddy and all the grandparents and have Peyton tell them on the phone, "I la you!" He can talk up a storm but can be hard headed when you want him to say a certain word or phrase. So we have been waiting on this for a long time.
Another note, Peyton and Parker have started to really entertain one another which has been nice for us all. It's so neat to watch them smile, coo, and giggle back and forth at each other. We still have to keep a close eye on Peyton b/cs he is a true boy and can be rough at times. Also, Parker is about to start rolling over. He tries so hard and at times get frusterated because his shoulder is in the way. I keep thinking it's going to happen anyday. He's so close.

Onto the ROCK!!

Friday night we beat Bauxite in the state semi-finals, 66-34, and now we are going to the state championship game this Saturday in Little Rock. Yea! We will play Glen Rose. Last year we won state and are hoping to repeat this year. Shiloh has 4 football state championships so this year the slogan has been "Drive for Five." Here are some pictures from Friday night's game. It was so exciting!

Sweet Blaire!! Our husbands coach together and we always have so much fun in the stands together.

Peyton and Grandad. Peyton hates coats! I promise I have him layered up with plenty of Under Armor on from head to toe. He hates hats too but I told him he had to wear it or go sit in the car. Luckily he agreed but still not happy about it.

Parker is happy being bundled up and warm.

Go Saints!
